A simple question yet I find it complicated to answer directly. To be honest here, at first i was introduced into social networking sites, I embraced Friendster. And by that, I was sticked with it like I was addicted to a MMORPG. I was then busy adding friends from the forums whose threads are concentrated to add them in Friendster. I was also busy tweaking my friendster page, making it more original.(with the use of CSS/JS codes, that blow me away XD)
So enough with Friendster, I will post it my eperiences/activities in my active friendster days in the next posts.
FACEBOOK- As far as i remember, my cousin recommend us(with my sister), to move to facebook from friendster.My sister diligently obeyed, but i am still in crossroads. I had somewhat invested time tweaking my friendster account.
But then again, I said to myself, it wouldn't hurt if i try. So in early summertime, I registered a fake account, with a fake name. My aim- TO OBSERVE, what certain features does facebook has and lacking features of Friendster. In conclusion to my aim, a comparative analysis of the two sites.
I didn't know Facebook was booming back there. After I tried the new applications on Facebook, I hastily create an account and add my friends. I uploaded my photos from friendster to my newly created account in facebook.
In my early facebook days, I was so surprised I can play games, I played Farmtown, thanks to my classmate in high school, he introduced me to it. I enjoyed it first, but I discovered much exciting game, ROCK LEGENDS.
I played the game for almost 3 and a half month, got hooked to another new game Ninja Saga, I was at a maximum level for only a month, got tired of it and now just checking my cafe at Cafe World.
You can tell I was fast to exploit a game, but if I feel I like it, I will be addicted to it, If not, lack of my interest, I gave up to that game and will not play.
Consequently, I had a Twitter account and so its useful in sending updates to my Facebook Account.
So in a bright words, how I am using my facebook is like these
A. Post My Thoughts
B. Upload my Photos
C. Share my taste in Music
D. Mingle/Chat with Friends
E.Check other profiles
F.Play games(moderately)---
Facebook doesn't allow/no feature to customize your profile easily. There is a way, using a specific browser, installing a customize layout toolbar, then you can customize. But in order to view your layout by others, who have not that toolbar installed, they can't see your customize layout.
Anyways, I find it FINE and SMOOTH in using Facebook. I had a numerous friends anyways I don't know them, and rarely my friends, that i know is scarcely at large.I am planning to clean it up, giving a diversity on the number of my friends.
